Beginners

The Beginner Clinic is the entry point for Young Indigenous individuals who are new to ice hockey or have minimal experience. This tier focuses on introducing the fundamentals of hockey, including skating techniques, basic stickhandling, and team dynamics. Participants are provided with the necessary equipment and guidance to help them build a solid foundation in the game. The Beginner Clinic aims to instill a love for hockey while promoting leadership and teamwork among the participants.

Intermediate

The Intermediate Clinic is designed for those who have already developed some proficiency in ice hockey and are eager to refine their skills further. Participants in this tier receive more specialized coaching, focusing on advanced techniques such as shooting accuracy, defensive strategies, and positional play. The Intermediate Clinic encourages participants to take their passion for hockey to the next level, fostering a competitive spirit and a deeper understanding of the game.

In conclusion, the Indigenous Youth Hockey Skills Clinic offers a grassroots comprehensive approach to hockey development, catering to the needs of participants with varying skill levels and backgrounds, including First Nation communities.
